Engineers

Engineers in the Montrose Fire District play a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness of all fire apparatus and the equipment assigned to them. Appointed annually by the Chief of the Department, each Engineer is responsible for a specific unit.

To be eligible for appointment, a firefighter must be a qualified driver of the assigned apparatus and possess the technical knowledge required to inspect, operate, and maintain its equipment. At incident scenes, Engineers also support the driver/operator as needed to ensure optimal apparatus performance.

The following members currently serve as Engineers for the Montrose Fire District:
