Montrose Fire District – Fire Protection Zones

To ensure optimal fire protection and mutual aid coordination, the Montrose Fire District is strategically divided into six fire protection zones. These zones are designated based on geographical boundaries and proximity to neighboring fire districts, facilitating efficient emergency response and resource deployment.

Zone 227010 (Zone 1):
Covers the Hamlet of Montrose, extending from north of the New York State Veterans Home to the Buchanan boundary line.

Zone 227011 (Zone 1-1):
Encompasses the Reynolds Lane area.

Zone 227019 (Zone 1-9):
Includes Blue Mountain Reservation and the Sportsman Center.

Zone 227020 (Zone 2-1):
Serves Crugers Avenue and the Cortlandt Manor area west of Lower Washington Street.

Zone 227021 (Zone 2-1):
Covers Battery Place and the New York State Veterans Home, with access via the VA Campus entrance.

Zone 227030 (Zone 3):
Covers the Cortlandt Manor area east of Washington Street.

These zones are critical for maintaining structured coverage and ensuring rapid response times in collaboration with neighboring jurisdictions.
