| Today was a very proactive day for the Montrose Fire District.
The day began with bailout classroom training for newer members working toward interior firefighter certification. As training wrapped up, crews were dispatched to a CO condition on Furnace Brook Road, which was determined to be a faulty meter. On scene 2273,2275,Engine 123
Shortly after, we responded to a two-car MVA with injuries on Furnace Dock Road. On scene 2272,2273,2275,Rescue 51
While clearing that call, we were dispatched to a reported house fire on Meadow Road. Due to poor road conditions, mutual aid was requested. Crews found an exterior fire involving the main electrical service above the meter, with minimal interior extension. Dry chemical extinguishers were used until Con Edison secured power, and overhaul confirmed no further extension. On Scene: 2272,2273,2275 Engine 122,Engine 123, Tower Ladder 8, Rescue 51, and 1 Engine from Buchanan FD.
