This past weekend, more than a dozen members participated in the annual ice rescue training on a local body of water within the hamlet. Members practiced putting on ice rescue suits, reviewed proper hand signals for communicating on the ice, learned safe techniques for crossing the ice to make a rescue, and worked on procedures for safely removing someone from the ice.
